Eco Home Resource Center started as a modest builder of row houses that catered to lower income markets. Early in its existence, the company has always put a premium on eco-friendly living, firmly believing that the environmentalist lifestyle doesn’t have to be expensive.

Soon enough, the company drew the attention of bigger players in the industry who wished to establish partnerships and build business with us. Many admired the eco-friendly lifestyle model of Eco Home Resource Center and they wanted to bring this unique offering to other markets. As the flow of business progressed, so did our portfolio.

From the initial successes in community housing and eco-friendly design, our portfolio now includes multi-family housing, general contracting, construction management, property management, commercial, residential, and vacation rentals, and build & sell. Since 2002, we have established a reputation for building ENERGY STAR homes. Driven by the latest principles in innovation, sustainability, and energy efficiency, we have consistently been recognized as an ENERGY STAR Builder of the Year for the past several years. One of our senior managers is also a LEED Accredited Professional, which is the highest industry benchmark for certified green building.

Eco Home Resource Center was founded by Stewart Mason in 1990. As a native of Chicago, Illinois, a young Stewart grew up in an environment where skyscrapers decorated the city skyline, and great works of architecture and engineering adorned the whole city. This inspired him to dream of building beautiful homes for many communities, eventually becoming one of the most successful architects in the business. His rare talent caught the attention of the most established engineering professionals in the business who wanted to bring his design creativity to life. Now greatly infused with environmentally sound philosophies, Stewart’s design work is one of the most sought-after all over the world.
