Natural lighting

Whenever you talk about lighting and energy consumption, the first thing that comes to mind is the use of LED light bulbs. This has truly been a step in the right direction for the population, and it continues to progress with advancements in LED technology that are seeing the latest innovations getting brighter, lasting longer, and being more efficient. But the question is, can anything else be done to make lighting more climate-friendly?
The simple answer is, yes – and this is by the use of natural lighting. Today’s green housing designs always factor in ways to make use of natural light in homes. After all, if you are able to use natural light, you have less reason to use LEDs which still take up energy from the grid. Climate-friendly houses make use of reflective paint, clear windows, and the inclusion of more open spaces, which help greatly to decrease dependency on electric-powered LEDs.
