Cons: A little loud, slightly smaller than standard cabinet opening.
Customer Reviews:
I bought this dishwasher about a month ago and have been very happy with it. Its a beautiful dishwasher in black (almost disappears but gleams at the same time) It has seven cycles, a extra heated rinse option (which I always use), and a handy five hour delay. I love the intuitive control panel across the top. The buttons are so clear and easy to use. The more expensive model has a scrolling menu which frankly looked like a PITA. If you want to run the same cycle as last time just hit "start" and your on your way.
My dishes have come out fabulously clean and sparkly with absolutely no rinsing...even an oatmeal pot. It took a week or two to figure out the best way to load heavily soiled pots and pans, which is actually on their side with the bottom of the pan facing the door. There are some special jets that give an extra boost to that front area. I use 1/2 of an electrasol tablet and sometimes a quarter of one in the prewash well. Everything comes out very dry, even plastic, with the air intake fan. There is no steam exhaust.
I must admit the dishwasher isn't as quiet as I expected. I don't hear any motor noise but I definitely hear sloshing water noise...as if there were someone playing in the bathtub. The noise is less when the dishwasher is heavily loaded...more when running just top or bottom. I can definitely hear it in my living room (30-40) feet across an open floor plan if the house is completely quiet. However if there are 3 people talking in the kitchen I don't think anyone would notice the dishwasher running. This is an island installation with thin paneling on the back side so that could be part of it.
I love the fact that it is so energy efficient and water efficient...never have to worry about running out of hot water. I think probably my favorite feature is the inline water heater that heats the water for the wash...making for some very clean dishes and no problem setting our hot water tank to 120.
It is slightly smaller than a standard cabinet opening and my cabinet opening turned out to be slightly larger than normal. This led to some empty space that my DH has filled with foam to prevent water splashes. I can't see the gap really when the door is closed.
I went back and forth between this and the Miele and chose this partly because the racks were so flexible with the fold down tines and for whatever reason the miele at the store had racks that jerked all around when sliding in and out. I love the cup racks. The silverware basket is just fine and actually will hold several days worth of silverware and still get sparkly clean. it has two covered compartments for all the sippy cup valves and other little goodies.
I definitely think paying more for a dishwasher with an inline heater is a good choice. I never have to worry about melting plastic and the super hot water does a fantastic job of washing the dishes.
UPDATE: 11/2/06
We have been using this faithful workhorse now for a full year. It works wonderfully and I love not having to rinse. The filter rarely gets dirty. I had to clean it yesterday because I washed a rice pan with caked on rice. Now the pot and everything else was spotless but there was a little pile of rice in the bottom on the filter.
I've realized listening to other folks' dishwashers (who would do that ?) that it is no noisier than other "quiet" dishwashers. For some strange reason I expected silence.
Pots and pans loading is actually easier now that I read the manual again...there is a special jet on the rear left spot on the bottom rack..this is where the icky pans go.
I also discovered that the top rack actually does come out and the upper spray arm comes off so that I can fit both of my furnace filter units in there for cleaning. It isn't a mentioned feature but it works just great.
Now that I've had it for a full year I can definitely say it was worth the money!

Customer Reviews:
We replaced our 15 year old dishwasher with this one. We were really excited at first to see the new design that eliminated the sprayer/agitator that took up the entire middle of our old dishwasher. We were surprised when we struggled to fit our regular amount of dishes in the new Bosch. We discovered that the racks of this dishwasher are a bit shorter than our previous unit. It took us a while to figure out how to load it.
We run it at night and empty it the next day (about 12 hours later). Typically only the plastics are still a little wet. It cleans good. We can't say how much we love it's quietness. We would buy it again.

Customer Reviews:
"I really wanted a dishwasher that had hidden controls (no black bar with buttons visible) for that clean, expensive all stainless look. However most of them were way out of my price range ($899-$1500 and up). When I first saw the Frigidaire it looked so elegant and expensive that I thought the price had been mis-marked - finally an all-stainless dishwasher I could afford!
Since my old dishwasher had been broken for several weeks, I had piles of dishes stacking up in my kitchen with dried on food. When my Frigidaire was installed, I was skeptical of putting my dishes in them as-in because they were SO dirty and the grime was dried on like glue. But, I wanted to see what this machine was really capable of so I loaded it up with all the filthy dishes. All I can say is WOW! When I opened the washer after it was done, every single dish, cup, glass, silverware was not only spotless, but completely dry! Not one spec of food or a drop of water to be found! Even the bowls with dried on bits of cheese and pasta were sparkling. Needless to say I am thrilled with my purchase. Oh yeah, its very quiet as well. You can hear some sloshing of water every now and then, but no motor noise or vibrations.
Overall for the value (I paid $499), this is an excellent machine that cleans very well, dries very well, and looks very expensive. I would highly recommend this machine for someone who wants a great machine with an all-stainless look but doesn't want to spend a fortune."
"I will say that it was pretty quiet. Definitely quieter than the builders grade dishwasher I replaced. My only complaint about the sound was that the bottom part of the the tub that extends to the bottom part of the door (where the door hinges) is not insulated. Due to the lack of insulation in this area you can hear water dropping on the plastic. Otherwise the dishwasher is very quiet. Since the motor is suspended and completely enclosed in insulation, you can hardly hear the motor.
This dishwasher has a lot of features for the price, but for me the features didnt work that well. It does have an adjustable top rack but it doesnt move up and down very much...maybe an inch. Also the fold down tines on the top rack didnt work well for the type of bowls that I have. When I put the bowls in the tines would not stay folded down...the would rise back up. Also the extra cup shelves in the top rack didnt help me out too much. You have to have pretty short cups to fit underneath or on top of them.
My wife really wanted the hidden controls on the top and I thought that was a pretty nifty feature too, but when it came to actually using them they seemed to be hassle. It is sometimes hard to know if you have actually pressed the button because the buttons dont "click". They do have a little light above them to show if the button was pressed but the most important buttton, the start button, doesnt have that little light. The problem is that you will press the start button and close the door but it wont start...then you have to try to squeeze your finger between the bottom of the cabinet and the top of the dishwasher to turn it on.
My last gripe, although not a real big one, is that you have to pull pretty firmly to get the door to open and unless you are very careful some water would splash out. You just have to make sure you pull just enough to get the machine to turn off for a second before you open the door.
Dishes would also come out a little wet sometimes."

Cons: Some dishes need rinsing, also a bit on the pricey side.
Customer Reviews:
"I was looking for a stainless steel dishwasher to match my other appliances. I have had good success with the Monogram line of GE. I purchased this dishwasher for $1200.00, installed.
It is quiet, sounds a bit like a rain storm outside. You do not hear the detergent cup spring open at all. I did have to tinker with the Jet Dry a bit, but that was an easy adjustment.
Even though it has a top rated "disposal/food grinder" in it, I still need to get most of the food off of the plates and silverware before loading. A scrape with a fork will do it, except for sticky things like melted cheese, peanut butter and the like. Some silverware still will not come clean if there is too much residue left, like peanut butter in a spoon, this you have to rinse off.
The amount of dishes this machine will wash is fantastic. It has a huge capacity, and is especially great for mixing bowls and will still have room for dinner plates and such.
Once you figure out what needs to be rinsed off and what does not, the dishwasher is great. Until you reach that point, it can be frustrating, especially given the amount of money paid. j
I do recommend this dishwasher if you have the patience to learn it's subtleties."
