Below 2.2 gpm is standard for kitchen faucets, while below 1.5 is suitable for the bathroom. Installing a new aerator is a cheap and easy way to conserve more water in the home. For maximum water efficiency, purchase aerators that have flow rates of no more than 1.0 gpm.
