Can I Recycle That Orange Juice Carton?

By Karen Moore on

Tropicana carton.jpgI don't know about anyone else...but some things I know to obviously toss in the recycling bin, such as cans and plastic bottles, but there are other items that I am not so sure about.  And quite frankly, I hear conflicting information about whether or not I can actually recycle them.

Then my thoughts go to the guy whose sorts out all of the items at the recycling center...and how frustrated he might be that the wrong things consistently get thrown in the bin to be recycled.

Such as CARTONS....you know, the ones that hold your orange juice or milk?  Well...I just found out a cool site RecycleCartons.com!  It will tell you if your city actually recycles those cartons...Brilliant! And I am sad to say that Los Angeles is not on the list - I AM SHOCKED!  I will look into this further.  Surrounding communities are, such as Culver City, Brentwood and Santa Monica.
