David's approach to Real Estate reflects his educational background in Business Finance: he takes an investment-based, analytical approach to each transaction. The road to Eco-consciousness began early in life, as his mother firmly believed in the movement to recycle and conserve resources and instilled those values, this at a time 30 years ago when that type of thought process was not commonly pursued. In his first career after college as a professional volleyball player both on the beach tour in the United States and playing and living in Europe these values were strengthened: "Spending a lot of time in the outdoors throughout the world heightened my appreciation for nature and its beauty, further reinforcing my desire to help maintain it for myself and generations to come. Furthermore, having lived in Europe and seeing firsthand a different way of life, getting more out of less, was an inspiration to contribute those values and techniques to my life and Real Estate career."
While that is the case, David still believes most decisions in Real Estate must make financial and economic sense. Much of David's research into the subject has been spent on quantifying in numbers the benefits of environment friendly development and remodel: "While I understand that some decisions are made from a purely aesthetic point of view, it is my desire to help clients understand that investment in Eco-Friendly property/features will payoff both in the energy savings costs and in the resale value of the property."
David is a licensed Realtor with Campbell Wellman Properties and an Eco-Broker sponsored Real Estate Brokerage in Los Angeles. He specializes in Westside Real Estate and has advised clients on investment in both commercial and residential Green properties. David participates in both Heal the Bay and Environment California fundraising/volunteer efforts. In addition he is a member of the Culver City Green Business Alliance (CCGBA), a Westside association of Green business practitioners who advocate both green business practice as well as political decision-making.
